iVolve is looking for top Cloud Infrastructure Engineering talent to continuously transform our customer infrastructure using leading open-source technologies. We are looking for a technical hands-on leader for our Cloud Operations team focused on managing multiple cloud environments. You will have the ability to help shape a best-in-class operations team. We focus on agile operations with a devops culture. You will have the ability to work with regional service providers and large enterprises.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and improve a cloud infrastructure.
  • Represent operations and standardize best practices on infrastructure within engineering organization
  • Create and implement an Operational strategy and design for an Openstack Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Manage a technically focused team and represent Operational needs.
  • Build, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure, focusing specifically on a fully automated Linux environment
  • Perform zero-downtime deployments
  • Focus on building solutions from scratch or using leading open-source technologies.
Desired Skills and Experience
?Basic Requirements:
  • 3 or more yearss experience with Openstack or complex virtualization orchestration experience
  • 3 or more years experience as a Team Lead or Manager
  • 3 or more years experience with automation tools like Chef or Puppet
  • 10 or more years experience with Linux environments
?Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience

  • Deep technical knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange
  • Represent operations and standardize best practices on infrastructure within engineering organization
  • Migrations from non-Microsoft messaging platforms to Exchange Server or Office 365
  • Hybrid configurations between on-premises Exchange and Office 365
  • Transitions of existing on-premises Exchange Servers to newer version

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience
  • 10 or more years’ experience with infrastructure operations, administration and/or engineering role
  • 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft Windows Server O/S
  • 3+ years’ experience in managing/maintaining virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, KVM, Xen…)
  • 2+ year experience in managing/maintaining various cloud-based platforms
  • 3+ year experience working with System Center suite
  • Working knowledge of scripting and automation technologies, PowerShell and Orchestrator runbook development
  • Demonstrated ability to transition customer projects to reusable IP
  • Understanding of the ITIL and MOF operational processes
  • Knowledge of the Private Cloud and Hybrid cloud configurations, patterns, and practices.
  • Experience leading enterprise deployments
  • Experience with Virtual desktop (RDP, RDSH)
  • Knowledge of the primary Azure and Office 365 services

Job Description

Volve is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the customer data center infrastructure with a focus on IaaS architectures. Develops, documents and implements system standards based on best practices. Maintains and monitors the systems to achieve an optimum level of performance. Implement, configure and maintain technologies related to storage networking and storage provisioning. Engineer should have a strong working skills around leading open-source technologies such as Openstack, Ansible, ManageIQ etc.

Responsibilities
  • Provide OpenStack implementation and support.
  • Use OpenStack Enterprise to deploy applications, systems, and databases.
  • Working knowledge of the basic cloud infrastructure (IaaS) components.
  • Install and configure VMWare ESX hosts and virtual environments.
  • Configures, monitors and maintains Linux and storage systems to provide optimum performance and system availability.
  • Install, and configure x86 hardware platforms.
  • Create and implement scripts for Cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting purposes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system performance, network and storage.
  • Gather performance and data usage statistics for capacity planning and reporting.
  • Troubleshooting production issues and performing On-Call duties, at times.
  • Configuring monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, HP Openview, or Nagios.
  • Design and maintain operating system backup solutions for system recovery and disaster recovery
  • Mentor and train junior/mid administrators.
